FORNO
Forno is the smallest of three beaches that open onto the Gulf of Biodola (Forno, Scaglieri and Biodola), it is a small strip of sand just over 100 meters long, to the right it is fine and golden and to the left it is gravelly, it is surrounded by a stretch of rocks.
Forno beach is a mix of pink, beige, aquamarine, green and blue colours, it is a small beach where a high degree peace reigns, the gently sloping seabed is full of fish. The water and the sand are as beautiful as the nearby Biodola and Scaglieri beaches but it remains less crowded due to the limited parking.
It faces west, therefore it is well protected from the south wind and from all winds coming from the east.
In the shade of a splendid lonely palm there is a small group of houses, the old fishing village, overlooking the sea which laps its shoreline. The houses, with characteristic doors and windows, are a mix of pastel colours and integrate perfectly with the natural environment. Quiet and intimate, they retain the pleasant feeling of a small village.
The breath-taking view at sunset and the magical atmosphere make it an ideal place for those who want the luxury of savouring the true flavour of the Island of Elba.
Forno beach has a bathing establishment that rents umbrellas, sunbeds and deck chairs, a bar and a restaurant. The biggest drawback to note is the lack of car parking.
THE PROPERTY
The house is located at the centre of the beach which is no more than thirty steps away.
Access by a double driveway allows easy car manoeuvring even in the height of summer.
The strong points of this property are the location, proximity to the beach, terrace and porches with sea views and beautiful sunsets, large garden, private parking spaces outside, plus the possibility of internal parking; a house in a strategic position in the intimate world of an old village.
The building is constructed on a floor above ground and another in the semi-basement which has independent entrances.
The ground floor, 99 square metres, consists of an entrance from a portico, two bedrooms, hallway, bathroom, living room, kitchen and covered terrace, sea view with sunsets. The semi-basement, of 94 square metres, consists of 7 rooms: cellars, corridors, utility room, closet and bathroom.
Access to the sea is by a footpath next to the house, which can be reached either from the garden, through a small gate, or directly from the basement.
The house is bright and secluded even though it is close to the beach, it needs to be personalised, especially the restored but unused lower floor.
The asking price takes into account the peculiarities of the property and its uniqueness in a particularly sought-after location of Elba.
